We didn't stumble into this work.

We were built for it.

Drifter Communications was founded in 2019 by Kylee, a third generation business owner who grew up watching what it looks like when someone bets on themselves.

Before Drifter, Kylee worked in corporate communications managing reputation and risk for brands in the crosshairs. She learned what it takes to protect a brand, grow it, and make it mean something. Then she saddled up and built something on her own terms. Because that's what drifters do.

We're not a big box agency handing your account off to someone who doesn't know your name. We're a lean, sharp team who shows up with strategy, sleeves rolled up, ready to work. Think of us as the big sister you always wanted in your corner. The one who tells you the truth, knows her stuff, and isn't afraid to go to bat for your brand.

We love seeing businesses win. Honestly, it's kind of our thing.

Meet the crew

Kylee Burleigh

Founder

Kylee is a third-generation business owner, a double twin mom (yes, TWO SETS), and the woman behind Drifter.

With a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations and nearly a decade of experience managing social media for brands with over 200k followers, she knows what it takes to build a presence that actually performs.

When she's not building strategies for ambitious brands, you'll find her chasing babies, getting outdoors or leaning into her latest “grandma hobby.” She built Drifter to do work she loves on her own terms, and she brings that same energy to every brand she touches.

Social Media Assistant

Marissa Bailey

Marissa is an analytics-driven creative, a girl mom, and the woman who makes the content happen.

With a bachelor’s degree in Business Communications and a minor in Psychology, plus five years in business management across everything from family-owned shops to large corporations, she brings a sharp eye for data and a natural instinct for design.

When she's not deep in Canva or a content calendar, you'll find her soaking up family time with her husband and daughter, energy drink in hand, and tending to her garden.

Bold brands don’t drift alone.
